mamba

mamba is a very old school DOS game. it is very similar to snake, a game that used to come with mobile phones. the goal in this highly addictive game is to eat blue and green signs, where blue signs are your level*1, and green signs your level*10. as you eat these signs, your snake grows longer, until it releases a wall. when it releases a wall, the level goes up, and the game continues. as you progress, walls will gradually change into green signs. the playing field will quickly clutter and fill with walls. the goal is to score as high as possible, and scores are kept in a list.

although more then one version of mamba has been created, the only one that has survived and is still findable online is made by Bert Uffen, in 1989.

instructions

mamba never became the game it was ment to become, so there are bugs, the most noticeable being the sounds messing up sometimes. the general fix is to 'eat' a blue sign, and the sound should return to normal. another bug is the game won't play as smoothly, or look as good in windowed mode. to change to full-screen, press alt-enter.

Controls:
